Aloha Makena was proud to support the Boys & Girls Club Maui Little Chef Big Chef event that focuses on empowering and inspiring Maui's youth through their high-quality programming.

A new hālau waʻa, named Hale Pili, has been officially blessed on March 21, 2025. The ceremony also solidified the transfer of caretaking and stewardship from its builders to the ʻŌiwi Resources & Stewardship team.

The tournament's theme of "Driving Hope, Building Homes" embodies Nā Hale O Maui's mission to make homeownership accessible and sustainable for Maui families.

On March 31, 2025, kiawe tree trimming and removal took place to minimize hazards to preservation sites, property, pedestrians or vehicles as part of the Mākena Landing Restoration Project.

Established in 2018, this annual scholarship provides support for students pursuing a degree or certificate at any University of Hawaiʻi campus.

On December 23, 2024, a blessing was held for the new “Green Streets” project in Mākena — a significant step forward in sustainable, low-impact development on Maui.

Aloha Makena hosted a benefit dinner on December 14, 2024, in support of two local organizations: Protect Kahoʻolawe ʻOhana and the Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve Commission.

In an effort to better support safety and the ecosystem at Mākena Landing, the Mākena Landing Restoration Project removed invasive and overgrown kiawe trees and replanted the area with native and place-appropriate shade trees on December 8, 2024.

Mākena Golf & Beach Club and its ʻŌiwi Resources & Stewardship Department were the featured “Bull Rider” sponsors of Christmas in the Country at Ulupalakua Ranch, which provided direct support to the event’s nonprofit beneficiaries.
